The cookies this site sets, what each one is for, and how to refuse them.

This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on maffeitech.com, operated by MaffeiTech Information Technology L.L.C. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains what we do with personal data generally.
At the time of writing, this website sets no cookies. No analytics, no advertising pixels, no tracking of any kind. You can verify that in your browser's developer tools — the site serves no cookie headers, and nothing is written to your browser's storage.
We are telling you this because most cookie policies describe a situation that is not the reader's. Ours describes exactly what is happening now, and it will be updated the moment that changes. The date at the top of this page tells you when it last did.
We intend to introduce measurement and advertising tools. When we do, this policy will list each one by name, say what it stores and for how long, and — before any of them run — you will be asked, and you will be able to refuse.
Analytics. To understand which pages are read and how people arrive, so we can improve them. Aggregate patterns, not individual identification.
Advertising and conversion measurement. Where we advertise, the platform may set an identifier so it can tell whether an advertisement led to a visit or an enquiry.
Neither is essential to the site working. Both will be off unless you turn them on.
The United Arab Emirates has no separate cookie law, but the Personal Data Protection Law applies to what cookies collect. That law requires consent for processing unless a specific exception applies, and it does not contain a general “legitimate interests” basis that some other jurisdictions use to justify analytics without asking.
The practical consequence is that a banner announcing cookies is not enough. Consent must be given before non-essential cookies are set, refusing must be as easy as accepting, and continuing to browse is not consent. That is the standard we will hold ourselves to.
Some cookies are necessary for a site to function at all — remembering a security token, or holding a preference you set. Where a cookie is genuinely essential, it does not need consent, because switching it off would break the thing you asked for.
We do not currently set any. If we do, they will be listed here individually rather than covered by a general claim of necessity — “essential” is the category most often abused to avoid asking.
Whatever any site tells you, your browser is the final say. Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies, and blocking third-party cookies stops most advertising tracking across the web:
Chrome — Settings, then Privacy and security, then Third-party cookies.
Safari — Settings, then Privacy.
Firefox — Settings, then Privacy & Security.
Edge — Settings, then Cookies and site permissions.
Blocking cookies will not stop this site working, because nothing here depends on them.
You can also send a Global Privacy Control signal from a browser that supports it. Where we deploy tools that recognise it, we will treat it as a refusal.
Cookies are not the only way a site can store or read information. Local storage, session storage, pixels, web beacons and device fingerprinting do comparable things. Where this policy says “cookies” it covers all of them — the technique matters less than whether something is being recorded about you.
When we add advertising or analytics tools, those providers process data under their own policies as well as ours, and some act as controllers in their own right. We will name each provider here and link to its policy, so you can see who receives what rather than agreeing to an unnamed list.
This page changes whenever the cookies do. Where we add anything that requires your consent, we will ask for it at the time rather than relying on a policy update you did not see.
